You know by now that learning, practicing, and developing self-love is critical to healing any struggle with food, eating, and body. That’s all good – that knowledge is the first step – woohoo!
Now the tricky part. What are you going to do with that knowledge? I’ve made some actionable suggestions (and given you some worksheets to help), so go check those out.
But I wanted to give you guys even more. More guidance, more examples, and more love. I spoke to Tara Mixon, of Soulful Medicine, and she blew me away with her gorgeous 4 step approach to kickstart your self-love.
Tara says, “I started my journey of self-love with quite the opposite. A lot of self-hate, self-punishment, and self-criticism”. She describes her growth through this self-imposed cage of negativity, to where she is now: a real advocate of self-compassion and generosity.
Tara is an Eating Psychology and Holistic Health Coach. She’s worked through self-loathing, endless negative self-talk, and an eating disorder to get to where she is today: an expert in helping others cultivate a positive, healthy, and empowering relationship with themselves and their eating. And she knows how because she’s done it all herself.
Find out a little about her story, and the 4 simple steps you can take to kickstart your self-love by watching our interview below.

If you’d like to know more about Tara, she shares more of her story and all the details about how you can work with here over on Soulful Medicine.
